Eir is one of the Valkyries, and is responsible for watching Sakhmet. She was chastised by Woden for letting Sakhmet wander off on her own while sober, as this resulted in the death of her father. She also fought in the battle against the Underground gods, and was given a special sword by Woden to defeat Persephone.
